What is living donation?
Living donation is a type of kidney transplant where a living person donates one of their two healthy kidneys to a person living with kidney disease. A living donor is the person who donates their healthy kidney.

What is Aid and Support After Pregnancy (ASAP)? Aid and Support After Pregnancy (ASAP), describes the Knights of Columbus’ efforts to support pregnant women, mothers and their babies by serving pregnancy resource centers and maternity homes. Our council is supporting Birth Center of Hemet.
• Financial Support includes: direct donations, Baby Bottle Drives, proceeds from fundraisers, open houses, etc.
• Material Assistance includes: donations of baby items (equipment, food, formula, diapers, wipes), clothes (maternity, baby, infant and toddler) and other items often listed on a center’s or maternity home’s website.

We feed a group up to 60 people the first Saturday every other month.
Please contact Dave Teegarden to donate milk, punch, and dessert and to volunteer your time to help serve our community.

Please come and join us after Mass on Saturday evening and all Sunday Masses! Please come to help sell and socialize with your fellow Brothers and parishioners at Holy Spirit Church.
Beginning February 17, 2026 our council will be conducting a family Bible Study for Knights, spouses and young adult 18 and over.
This will take place in the Knights Hall on the third Tuesday of every month. All are invited. We will be going over the book Champions of the Rosary by Father Calloway. Book is available on Amazon for around $14.00. Please read the first 40 or so pages for discussion at session. I look forward to seeing a big crowd on Tuesday night.

FREE THROW CHAMPIONSHIP
Since 1972, councils have sponsored the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship for boys and girls from the ages of 9 to 14 to provide an athletic outlet and encourage the values of sportsmanship and healthy competition. Kids compete within their own gender and age and progress from our council level to Chapter and State competitions each year.
REFUND SUPPORT VOCATIONS (R.S.V.P.)
The Refund Support Vocations programs assists our seminarians and postulants with financial and moral assistance. As the strong right arm of the church, the Knights of Columbus are committed to providing moral, financial and spiritual support to future priests and religious at all stages of their formation. We sponsor a local seminarian up to priesthood.
FOOD FOR FAMILIES
Help end hunger in communities across North America. Many people in our communities are struggling through hardship and unable to provide food to their families. Food for Families ensures that as few as possible go to bed hungry each night. Our program is supported by our parishioners at Holy Spirit Church by donating food. We currently feed 12-20 families each Saturday.
COLUMBIAN CHARITIES -
INTELLECTUAL DISALBILITIES DRIVE
Supporting and assisting people with intellectual disabilities have been an ongoing program supported by the Knights of Columbus for many years. This is the largest program that California Knights are involved in. This program unites Knights throughout California in charity and love of our bothers. We are what we do.
Our council was chartered on December 6, 1992. The first Grand Knight was Raymond F. Patke Jr. The council meets on the 2nd & 4th Tuesday of the Month for our Regular Business Meetings. We meet in our council room on the grounds of "Holy Spirit Catholic Church"
Columbia Magazine - Free subscription to the Order’s award-winning magazine examining issues of concern to Knights, Catholics and families.
Knights of Columbus rosary - Blessed by the supreme chaplain, presented during the Admission Degree to each new member Daily Mass of Remembrance at St. Mary’s Church - Mass for deceased members and their wives at the birthplace of the Order.
Insurance - Access to a portfolio of top-quality life insurance, long-term care and annuity products exclusive for members and their families.
Family Fraternal Benefit - For eligible families: a) pays $1,500 for the child who dies before the age of 61 days; b) pays $750 for the child who is stillborn at least 20 weeks after conception; c) offers guaranteed-issue insurance - up to $5,000 - to any child under age 18. Orphan Benefit - $80 monthly allotment for orphans of eligible families; up to $7,000 in college scholarships available. Widow Benefits - a) continues to be covered under the Member/Spouse Fraternal Benefit; b) may purchase life insurance, long-term care insurance or annuities up to one year after insured member’s death; c) receives a free lifetime subscription to Columbia; d) eligible with her children for scholarships, student loans, etc.
Scholarships - Scholarship programs for higher education available to members, their spouses and children.
Leadership Development - Opportunity to build personal leadership skills, public speaking ability, organizational skills, etc.
Fourth Degree - Eligibility to join the Patriotic Degree. Honorary Life Membership - At age 70 with 25 years of membership.
Membership Card - Entitles participation in all Catholic, fraternal and social activities in member’s council and also in over 15,000 councils throughout the world.
Activities - participation in a variety of programs and activities conducted by your council.
